For Shiggles
The YouTube escapades continue!
Here’s a video I put together in college with my beloved friends Caitlin and Rachel.
Back when the thought of Wicked fans didn’t make me throw up a little in my mouth, we had a lot of fun putting this together. Enjoy.
My Obsessions are Colliding!
Add this to the list of reasons I’m kinda bummed I wasn’t born Daniel Radcliffe:
I assumed he’d made his appearance on Broadway solely on the shock value of seeing the Boy Who Lived naked in Equus. This shut me up. Kid can move and sing. I may be a fan of the guy, not just the character he’s represented for so long.
Add my meager kudos, Daniel Radcliffe, to the litany of accolades that should follow you throughout a long and successful career.
Redefining Musical Theatre
…by doing music theatrically
Slight spoiler alert: at one point in Forever Plaid, I have sit at the piano and bang out the beginning of Edvard Grieg’s Piano Concerto. To give you an idea of how prepared I was at the beginning of rehearsals, I was crediting Grieg’s concerto to Sergei Rachmaninoff. I kept calling it “that Rachmaninoff section” for weeks. Everyone was kind enough not to point out my error. Even when I had this great video to tell them about…
You’re watching the brilliance of Igudesman and Joo, a set of names I rarely remember and never pronounce correctly, but theirs is one of my favorite acts. …I assume. See, they don’t have a DVD for sale yet, and they’ve never made it this side of the Atlantic. However you can waste a good amount of time following them on YouTube.
There is a section right on the home page of their website, “Where should we play next?” Let’s utilize it!
This waste of time brought to you by an extremely lazy Sunday (before rehearsal, of course).
